Dr. Sam Zaplinski DVM, MPH joined Elanco Animal Health last year as the Regional

Consulting Veterinarian for Northern California. In this role, she provides technical support and education to local veterinarians and veterinary staff on Elanco products. She comes from 15 years in clinical practice in the Bay Area doing a mix of general practice, surgery, emergency, and some shelter medicine. As a practitioner and now as a consulting veterinarian, she strives to learn, communicate, and foster great relationships with her clients throughout Central and Northern CA. She has special interests in infectious diseases, emergency medicine, and shelter medicine. She received her Doctor of Veterinary

Medicine from St. George’s University finished her clinical training at the University of Pennsylvania, and later received her master’s in public health in infectious diseases and vaccinology at UC Berkeley. In her free time, she loves spending time outdoors - hiking or camping, traveling, and most importantly having quality time with her husband Craig, and daughters Hailey and Aria.
