Primary Duties

  • Lead anesthesia for high-volume spay/neuter surgeries

  • Calculate, draw up, and administer premedication, induction, and anesthetic drugs

  • Perform induction, intubation, and anesthetic monitoring

  • Monitor vitals intra- and post-operatively; respond to anesthetic complications

  • Oversee patient recovery, pain control, and post-op treatments

  • Prepare and break down surgical suites; ensure proper sterilization

  • Maintain controlled drug logs, anesthesia records, and medical charts

  • Assist veterinarians during surgery

  • Perform shelter animal exams, diagnostics, and treatments

  • Train and support assistants and volunteers in anesthesia, recovery, and patient handling

Requirements

  • Active California RVT license in good standing

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume surgical environment

  • Fear Free certification within 30 days of hire (employer-sponsored)

Evergreen Animal Clinic in Santa Maria is seeking a reliable and punctual candidate to join our team as a full-time or part-time Receptionist. This position requires prior experience in a veterinary healthcare setting. We are a multi-doctor practice and work in a fast-paced environment. Dependability is a core requirement for this role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing exceptional customer service, answering multi-line phones, invoicing and accepting payments, running end-of-day financial reports, accurately managing medical records, and completing daily responsibilities in a timely manner.
