ABOUT WOODS HUMANE SOCIETY:
Founded in 1955 by Francis Newhall Woods, Woods Humane Society is a household name in SLO County and a point of community and pet-owner pride among locals. A privately funded, non‐profit animal sheltering and welfare organization, it annually places more than 3,000 dogs and cats into loving homes, making it the common tie amongst many residents in the county. Ruled a “Four Star Charity” by Charity Navigator and earning GuideStar’s Gold Transparency status, Woods has built a solid reputation within the animal welfare industry as an adoption center that raises the bar for animal
sheltering. Animals at Woods receive the highest level of care, including state-of-the-art medical care, shelter accommodations, integrated kennel enrichment, behavior support, and daily exercise and interaction with staff and volunteers. All dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to being placed for adoption, in addition to receiving life-altering veterinary procedures and treatments when needed. Animals are never euthanized for time or space and are adopted within 10-20 days on average. We are fortunate to receive generous community support through donations, bequests, grants, sponsorships, and third-party fundraisers, as well as loyal and
enthusiastic community engagement in both online and in-person events, fundraisers,
and campaigns. More than 400 volunteers actively support our mission; more than
50,000 people follow and engage with Woods through social media; more than 20,000

ER Veterinarian Needed

PETS Hospital was founded by two vet school classmates with the primary mission of delivering an exceptional customer experience. They were frustrated with emergency and specialty hospitals that don't take care of their customers and rDVMS, so they decided to do things differently. Our goal was to create a “warm and fuzzy” ER that doesn't feel like a typical emergency room.   The experience starts with freshly baked cookies and coffee in the lobby, TV's with Netflix in every room, a cool and calm color scheme, and a staff that was hired based on personality and the love for the job.

We have created a culture where our core values are always first priority: We are Respectful, we offer Exceptional Customer Experience, we Raise the Bar, we have Integrity, and we Don’t Panic!

We have just built a NEW facility adjacent to our ER suite, that is designed to be custom outfitted for specialty services.  We are looking to add an Emergency/Urgent Care Veterinarian

This is a wonderful opportunity to:

  • Work with a highly skilled staff that is compassionate, motivated and collaborative

  • Competitive Salary with production and a full benefits package

  • Opportunity to work with an awesome bunch of rDVMS

  • Work with an excellent and growing specialty team that includes a cardiologist and surgeon.

  • Work/Life balance matter to you? It does to us!

  • Great benefits including 401k, health insurance, CE stipend, and PTO

  • We care about your mental and physical health so we now offer a Wellness Plan stipend that can be used for athletic gear, workout equipment, gym membership and more!

  • Always local and independent, NOT CORPORATE!

We need someone who is energetic, excited and wants to be part of an amazing team!

Interested individuals please send your cover letter & resume to OM@petsurgentcare.com
Please visit our website at www.petsurgentcare.com

Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you!

Full-Time, Part-time  or Relief Associate Veterinarian

Evergreen Animal Clinic is a full-service small animal veterinary hospital that has been proudly serving pets and their human companions since 1969. The clinic’s long history of excellent patient care and client satisfaction is due to the well-trained, attentive and experienced veterinary team. Located in Santa Maria, CA, we are a modern, privately-owned, five-DVM practice. We perform soft tissue surgery and dentistry, use EMR, ultrasound, digital radiography, and dental radiology. All of our radiographs are read by a board-certified radiologist.

We are open Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm, and Saturdays 08:00am - 12:00pm. There are no on call responsibilities. After-hours emergencies are referred to one of two local ER’s (the closest is about two miles from our clinic).

Located on the central coast of California, there are many opportunities for outdoor activities. World-class wineries are within an hour drive, along with live music venues and great dining. Hiking, biking, surfing, kayaking, horseback events, deep-sea fishing, and camping are all available in this area. Cal Poly SLO is a half-hour drive north from us and offers community events as well as a thriving student community.
