VCA South County Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited small animal veterinary clinic
providing wellness care including surgery and dentistry. Our modern, fully equipped 11,000 square foot hospital, was newly built in 2010. Our services include comprehensive preventive wellness care including early disease detection and vaccines, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry and dental radiographs, digital radiology, diagnostic ultrasound, cold laser therapy and acupuncture.

VCA South County Animal Hospital is located next to the Village of Arroyo Grande, a walkable

We are a multi-doctor practice, open six days a week. Veterinarians typically work a 10-hour

What You’ll Be Doing

Daily responsibilities may include:

• Answering phones and assisting veterinary customers

• Making outbound calls to customers and prospective customers

• Helping schedule and coordinate technical support appointments

• Assisting with customer follow-up related to orders, quotes, service cases, demos, and product information

• Participating in web-based product demonstrations for customers

• Supporting sales activities, lead follow-up, and customer outreach

• Creating sales quotes, invoices, RMAs, and shipping labels

• Assisting with shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment

• Managing customer records and performing accurate data entry

• Using and updating CRM and internal business systems

• Communicating with vendors regarding orders and follow-up

• Supporting social media, marketing, and customer communication projects as needed

• Helping with general office operations and team projects

Primary Duties

• Lead anesthesia for high-volume spay/neuter surgeries

• Calculate, draw up, and administer premedication, induction, and anesthetic drugs

• Perform induction, intubation, and anesthetic monitoring

• Monitor vitals intra- and post-operatively; respond to anesthetic complications

• Oversee patient recovery, pain control, and post-op treatments

• Prepare and break down surgical suites; ensure proper sterilization

• Maintain controlled drug logs, anesthesia records, and medical charts

• Assist veterinarians during surgery

• Perform shelter animal exams, diagnostics, and treatments

• Train and support assistants and volunteers in anesthesia, recovery, and patient handling

Requirements

• Active California RVT license in good standing
