Emergency/Urgent Care Veterinarian

PETS Hospital was founded by two vet school classmates with the primary mission of delivering an exceptional customer experience. They were frustrated with emergency and specialty hospitals that don't take care of their customers and rDVMS, so they decided to do things differently. Our goal was to create a “warm and fuzzy” ER that doesn't feel like a typical emergency room.   The experience starts with freshly baked cookies and coffee in the lobby, TV's with Netflix in every room, a cool and calm color scheme, and a staff that was hired based on personality and the love for the job.

We have created a culture where our core values are always first priority: We are Respectful, we offer Exceptional Customer Experience, we Raise the Bar, we have Integrity, and we Don’t Panic!

We have been so inundated with demand that we are now looking to build a like-minded team of specialists to support our ER/Urgent Care service – the first of its kind on the Central Coast! We have just built a NEW facility adjacent to our ER suite, that is designed to be custom outfitted for specialty services.

We are looking to add an experienced Emergency/Urgent Care Veterinarian as well as specialists!

This is a wonderful opportunity to:

  • Live and work in a place where most people go for vacation

  • Work with a highly skilled staff that is compassionate, motivated and collaborative

  • Competitive Salary with production and a full benefits package

  • Opportunity to work with an awesome bunch of rDVMS

  • Work with an excellent and growing specialty team that includes a cardiologist and surgeon.

  • Work/Life balance matter to you? It does to us!

  • Great benefits including 401k, health insurance, CE stipend, and PTO

  • We care about your mental and physical health so we now offer a Wellness Plan stipend that can be used for athletic gear, workout equipment, gym membership and more!

  • Always local and independent, NOT CORPORATE!

We need someone who is energetic, excited and wants to be part of an amazing team!

Interested individuals please send your cover letter & resume to OM@petsurgentcare.com

Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you!

Full Time Veterinarian

Village Veterinary Clinic in Lompoc, California is looking for a full-time veterinarian to join our team of 4 doctors and excellent support staff. We are an AAHA accredited practice located in California’s central  coast wine country, between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. As a small town, Lompoc housing is  more affordable, making it easier to own a home while enjoying the beautiful temperate climate. There  are plenty of hiking and riding trails, lakes and mountains only hours away, and the beach is always close  by. Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo are less than an hour’s drive for concerts, sporting events,  excellent restaurants, and plenty of wine tasting and good food.

A full-time associate would have a starting salary of $100,000-$110,000 plus commission. We use the  Pro-sal compensation method with 2 weeks paid vacation, a CE stipend, and professional dues paid  including DEA licensing, PLIT insurance, and California Veterinary Board Licensing. We are a fast-paced  clinic most days but enjoy a collaborative atmosphere with plenty of humor and mentoring. Because we  are in a semi-rural town, you would see both pre-scheduled appointments and the occasional daytime  emergency as well as surgeries. Our clinic is equipped with an in-house lab, surgical and  therapeutic lasers, endoscopy, digital radiology (dental and standard), and ultrasound. We also have a  board-certified radiologist to read films and a traveling small animal surgeon for more complicated  orthopedic or soft tissue surgeries. There are also specialty clinics nearby for ophthalmology and  oncology referrals. We strive to offer the highest standard of care for our upscale clientele.

Currently we are only doing curbside service due to the high COVID-19 infection rate. Hopefully by the  end of summer we can return to our normal flow of clients and critters through the clinic. We plan to  make those decisions thoughtfully as the pandemic plays out. The safety of our staff is of utmost  importance, and currently most of us are between our first and second COVID vaccinations.

If you are interested in this position, please visit our website www.villagevet.us to see the clinic and staff  and learn more about us. You may contact us by phone or email with a resume and letter of interest,  just ask for Dr. Connie Ganter, Dr. Verne Thacker, or our practice manager, Meghan Fox.
