Dr. Maxwell is a lifelong horsewoman. She began riding at a very young age, with her first horse lead line at 4 years old. She rode professionally in the hunter/jumper show circuit across the country. A graduate of Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Maxwell began her veterinary career with an internship at Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in Ringoes, New Jersey. Private practice saw her working with Dr. Brian Murphy, doing high-end performance lameness work. Currently, Dr. Maxwell is the Director Of Equine Sales at Conturavet.
