About the Event

Many unanswered questions and concerns still exist with prescribing extra label and compounding drugs.  Join your fellow veterinary colleagues to receive a refresher on how to properly prescribe these drugs and learn the key points about compounding legalities.  Also, what are the best ways to find a quality pharmacy.  Specific legal case examples will be provided to help you better understand this important subject.

Dr. Klotz graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Physiology in 1992 and received his DVM in 1996. After 9 years as an associate in an Equine referral practice primarily focused on surgery, racetrack and western performance horse medicine, Dr. Klotz founded Legacy Equine Centre, a full service referral hospital in Oklahoma in 2007 where he served as managing partner. In 2014 he began his career in industry with Ceva Animal Health and then joined Aurora Pharmaceutical in 2015. At Aurora, he handles Equine technical services and coordinates our ongoing clinical research projects. Dr. Klotz and his wife Laurel reside in Newcastle, OK with their two dogs, two miniature donkeys and his mounted shooting horse horse.
